Media Technologies

The digital media industry is rapidly changing and developing. There is currently a lot of demand for individuals who can creatively provide Internet development, games, and information systems. Students from this program can find careers with major media companies, Internet companies, and multimedia businesses.  .

With an emphasis on creativity and production, the coursework in this program prepares students with both a practical foundation in electronic engineering, computer science, and digital media technology, and a focus on the creative development of programs, content, graphics, and media. Students are prepared to participate in fulfilling and exciting careers in the constantly evolving media industry.

Opportunities in digital media technology are continually growing. Jobs that currently use digital media technology include technical writer, Web page designer, computer graphics designer, librarian, news reporter, art director, motion graphics designer, electronic sound effects producer, computer game developer, photographer, educational technologist, and videographer. Many people in these fields are self-employed consultants and entrepreneurs, while others work for a wide range of businesses and industries.

Duration

1 Years (full-time)

Includes 9 Months of Classroom Training, including Practical and Projects and 3 Months of Internship on a Real time Broadcast Environment.

Eligibility

Bachelor’s degree (10+2+3) or equivalent with at least 50% marks in aggregate. The candidate must have studied Physics and Maths at Sr. Secondary (10+2) level

Internship

Three months of Internship is compulsory for all students undertaking the Course. Attendance during Internship has to be 100%, else Internship may be extended

For students averaging ‘A” Grade in Theory and Practical, a stipend of Rs. 2,500 per month would be paid during Internship.

Placement

Candidates passing the Certificate course would be considered for placements in the In House Broadcast activities and through other companies of repute in the fields of Digital Media.
