Graphic Designer

The images and art that are designed by a graphic artist is like telling a story through pictures. At the AKD Institute, focus of training is in creation of an extensive portfolio that demonstrates artistic talent and technical skills. With adequate access to design of contents with association with In house experts and opportunity to showcase skills in an existing Media Environment, students are extensively trained in the field.

Students will learn about various aspects and techniques of graphic including its design application to packaging, corporate identity, publication design, environmental graphics, advertising design and digital graphics. The development of fundamental skills through Drawing and Principles of Design will be the main focus of learning. The course includes practice in a real working environment within a media house.

Duration

The course is a Skill Course conducted on weekdays Monday to Friday.

Theory and Practice, including Project : 470 Hours

Internship : 8 Weeks

Eligibility

Class X. One year of experience desirable in any equivalent job related to Graphics

Course Content

The Course is affiliated to the Media and Entertainment Skills Council, under the National Skill Development Corporation, Government of India.

Internship

Three months of Internship is compulsory for all students undertaking the Course. Attendance during Internship has to be 100%, else Internship may be extended. For students averaging ‘A” Grade in Theory and Practical, a stipend of Rs. 2,500 per month would be paid during Internship.

Placement

Candidates passing the Certificate course would be considered for placements in the In House Broadcast activities and through other companies of repute in the fields of Digital Media.
