The Editor is a vital part in disseminating Media content. He is a story builder. He not only interprets a story in his own way, but also creates something that was not visualized at the time of shooting the film. The combined knowledge of Video Editing and Sound Recording is important for maintaining technical harmony in editing. This career has plenty of job opportunities with TV studios and News Channels. Students get essential knowledge about Linear Editing to develop Editing sense and full practice on Non Linear Editing, special effects and Sound Recording. All theory lectures are followed by practical in studio and Editing on Computer. Students learn all aspects of computer from basic level and practice to become confident video editor.
Individuals at this job need to understand, cut/ re-cut, assemble and merge production raw material (such as footage, music, sound and images) into a sequential final output suitable for broadcasting

The course is a Skill Course conducted on weekdays Monday to Friday.

Course Content
The Course is affiliated to the Media and Entertainment Skills Council, under the National Skill Development Corporation, Government of India.
Internship
Two months of Internship is compulsory for all students undertaking the Course. Attendance during Internship has to be 100%, else Internship may be extended
For students averaging ‘A” Grade in Theory and Practical, a stipend of Rs. 2,500 per month would be paid during Internship.
Placement
Candidates passing the Certificate course would be considered for placements in the In House Broadcast activities and through other companies of repute in the fields of Digital Media.
